Continuous measurement boosted adiabatic quantum thermal machines

We present a unified approach to study continuous measurement-based quantum thermal machines in static as well adiabatically driven systems. investigate both steady-state and transient dynamics for the time-independent case. In case, we show how thermodynamic quantities can be attributed geometric characteristics. also provide appropriate definition heat transfer dissipation owing measurement presence absence of adiabatic driving. illustrate aforementioned ideas phenomenon refrigeration two different paradigmatic examples: coupled dot qubit system, undergoing slow that coherence improve cooling power refrigerators. Exclusively case qubits, consider linear nonlinear system-bath couplings. observe coupling produces effects certain regimes where otherwise heating is expected. significant boost obtained larger than sum due individual effects. The refrigerators have similar or better coefficient performance compared one regime extraction maximum. Our results potential significance future application devices ranging from processing networks.
